There have been various articles written, conferences and meetings held to address the issue of proximity of Islamic religions, however; they have all been in theory with no practical steps on the ground. Apparently, it is time to translate the theory into action on the ground for the proximity of religions. The present article is aimed at presenting precise meanings of strategy and proximity as the two basic concepts of this argument and reviewing the goals of proximity. The author gives as many as twenty different practical methods for the proximity of religions.<br> | |||

Since unity of Muslims is a necessity and a religious obligation particularly in today's developments–with the devastating situation of people of Palestine and Lebanon, who are under cruel attacks of Israel, the occupier - the Islamic Ummah is obliged to create a brotherly atmosphere between followers of different Islamic faiths. However, the Islamic scholars are the ones who play the most important roles for the creation of this atmosphere.<br> | |||
Explaining the importance of Muslims unity according to the Quran and sayings of the Prophet, this article presents definition of a Muslim and a pious man.<br> | |||
According to the Shiite and Sunni faith, a Muslim and pious individual is the one who: <br> | |||
1- believes in Allah and His oneness, <br> | |||
2- believes in prophethood and Muhammad (S.A)¨s mission and whatever he has brought with him,<br> | |||
3- believes in Resurrection Day.<br> | |||
After giving the above attributes of a Muslim, the author briefly argues the position of religion scholars in Islamic culture.<br> | |||
Islamic culture attaches great importance to the Islamic scholars and introduces them as the successors of the Prophet and the trustees. <br> | |||
The author explains twenty strategies the scholars apply to prepare the grounds for the unity of all the Muslims, namely <br> | |||
